Supervisor Dawn Ortiz-Legg is an experienced leader with proven results. She draws on her experience from years in the private sector and public service to successfully advocate on behalf of the residents of SLO's Central Coast Communities. In November 2020, Governor Newsom appointed her to the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors, District 3. In her short time in office, she has helped steer the County's Covid-19 economic Response, secured funding for local parks and green spaces, and taken steps to protect local agriculture and environment.
Supervisor Dawn Ortiz-Legg has the real-world experience and problem-solving skills to work with all of her colleagues to find bipartisan solutions for the Central Coast on issues such as water planning and the drought, as well as maintaining and improving the quality of our neighborhoods and the health and safety of our residents.
Her priorities as Supervisor include adapting to a changing climate, developing a robust local economy and creating opportunities for working families, addressing affordability, providing access to top-quality health care services – including preventative and mental health care, and protecting and enhancing the quality and character of our neighborhoods.
